Ms. Impana Janardhan

Speech Language Pathologist

Meet Ms. Impana Janardhan, a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Currently engaged in a captivating research project titled “Cross-Linguistic Investigation of Language Production Aphasia in South Asian Languages,” showcasing dedication to advancing understanding of language disorders. With an interest inclined toward adult language disorders & cognitive communication disorders, she believes that focusing on improving the overall quality of life can significantly impact speech, language, and cognition therapy outcomes & brings passion to her work, driven by a deep desire to make a positive impact on patients’ overall quality of life. Being trained in Carnatic-Classical music, she incorporates her passion for music into therapy sessions, witnessing its transformative effects on her clients. Her dissertation research, titled “Relationship between gestures and linguistic units among late middle-aged Kannada speaking population: A Preliminary Study,” demonstrates her interest in exploring and understanding adult communication. 

She shows enthusiasm and actively participates in professional development courses and conferences to stay well-informed about the latest advancements in her field. Some of the specialized courses she has attended include “Oral Sensory Motor Intervention for Pediatric Feeding Difficulties”, “Autism Summit”,  “Feeding Assessment and Management in Children with CLP”, and “Difficult Behaviors in Children with Speech Delay: Breaking Stereotypes”, etc. She has also taken part in conferences such as “Indian Speech and Hearing Association – Bengaluru Chapter (ISHA-BC)”, “Beyond Boundaries: A Journey into Research Excellence”, and “Ensuring Success with peer-reviewed journal publications”.  She looks forward to further contributing to the well-being of her clients.
